Displacement Sensor(Vibrating Wire)
MAS-VWD series vibrating wire displacement meter is suitable for long-term monitoring of the opening and closing degree (deformation) of expansion joints of artificial structures or other concrete structures, and can also be used to measure the displacement, subsidence, strain and slip of earth dams, earth embankments, slopes and other structures.
Overview
The model VWD Vibrating Wire Displacement Meter/Crack Meter/Joint Meter is a displacement sensor based on the principle of vibrating wire, which is suitable for long-term monitoring of the opening and closing (deformation) of expansion joints of artificial structures or other concrete structures. It can be use as crackmeter, 3D crackmeter, deformation meters, and soil extensometers with different accessories. It is used to measure the displacement, settlement, strain, slip, etc. of structures such as earth dams, embankments, and slopes.
The vibrating wire displacement meter is mainly composed of a steel string, a stressed spring, a pull rod, and an exciting coil. The two ends of the vibrating wire displacement meter produce relative displacement with the displacement and deformation of the structure. The displacement is transmitted to the steel string through the stressed spring, causing the stress of the steel string to change, thereby changing the natural frequency of the steel string. The measuring instrument uses the pulse or sweep signal to excites the steel wire, then the sensor outputs the vibration wire signal, the measuring instrument detects the frequency of the signal induced by the coil, and after conversion, the relative displacement change of the measured structure can be obtained.
Characteristic:
- Measuring range from 20mm to 200mm,
- 0.5%F.S accuracy
- Vibrating wire theory
- Super strong steel wire
- Stainless steel material, corrosion resistant
- High stability and precision
- Built-in temperature sensor
- Waterproof up to 1MPa
- Temperature range from -40℃ to +80℃
Application scenarios:
- Measuring displacement, settlement, slippage of hydraulic structures, earth dams, embankments, slopes, tunnels, etc. Adding supporting accessories can form single-point displacement meters, soil extensometers, multi-point displacement meters, and other instruments for measuring deformation.
