MAS-HMBLD is an advanced monitoring device based on high-resolution radar remote sensing imaging and phase interferometry technology. Overview


MAS-HMBLD is an advanced monitoring device based on high-resolution radar remote sensing imaging and phase interferometry technology. It enables real-time, dynamic, and non-contact measurements of subtle deformations in bridges, cables, towers, high-voltage power lines, and high-rise buildings through long-range transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves. The measured data can be automatically converted into cable fundamental frequency or cable force. With features such as high measurement accuracy, fast data update rate, capability of simultaneous multi-cable/full-span monitoring, easy installation and deployment, and low overall cost, the system can be widely applied to static deflection, dynamic deflection, and cable force monitoring in bridges.

  • Long detection range (≥500 m), with deflection and frequency measurement accuracy essentially independent of distance.
  • No need to install targets on the measured structure; installation and use are quick and convenient, with low overall cost.
  • Built on an edge-computing architecture, capable of completing all computations onboard and transmitting data remotely.
  • Compact size (A4 format), lightweight (750 g), low power consumption (6 W), and high protection level (IP66), making it suitable for long-term field monitoring applications.

 

Deflection Measurement: 

  • Deformation measurement accuracy better than 0.01 mm, with data update rates up to 200 Hz and high sensitivity.
  • Capable of measuring multiple spans or multiple points of a bridge/building simultaneously, supporting over 50 monitoring points at once, ensuring high efficiency and strong data correlation.
  • Automatic identification and extraction of monitoring points, with optional manual selection.
  • Equipped with real-time atmospheric disturbance adaptive compensation algorithms, ensuring minimal data drift and high reliability.
  • Built-in real-time occlusion detection and correction algorithm, unaffected by temporary obstructions of the radar or monitoring points.

 

Frequency Measurement: 

  • Capable of remotely measuring real-time vibration frequency responses at any point of a cable, facilitating mode shape identification.
  • Fundamental frequency measurement accuracy better than 0.001 Hz, with update rates at the second level, offering high sensitivity and responsiveness. Supports simultaneous measurement of multiple cables (≥30) or full-span cables, enabling efficient monitoring and real-time tracking of cable force changes during operations such as cable tensioning.
  • Automatic identification and configuration of cable monitoring points, with manual addition available for convenient on-site setup.
  • Automatically filters out frequency outliers and uses intelligent algorithms for accurate fundamental frequency estimation.
